Health and Safety

As a practitioner in the live events industry, I am required to have a good awareness and
application of health and safety when working on projects. I never carry out work if it
is unsafe to do so and as a result of this I find it easy to identify health and safety
issues at work and collaborate with the appropriate practitioners to implement solutions
to these problems. I keep up to date on the relevant regulations and health and safety
documentation. I monitor the application of Health and Safety in the work that I do and
have got a 100% success rate of safe work.

I manage Health & Safety on each project by means of Method Statements & Risk Assessments.
When on site, I manage Health and Safety by means of continuous re-appraisal of the identified
risks, and the creation of new risk assessments where required.

I keep up to date on Health & Safety issues in the industry and promote best practice by
attending specialised training courses and implementing health and safety practice.

On a daily basis, I work with three phase electricity, laser systems, electrical lighting
systems, working at height, working with hazardous chemicals and in environments that would
be dangerous if I did not have the appropriate levels of training.

I have had un-certificated training with: 3 Phase and Mains Electricity, Working at Height
Safety Awareness, small to medium scale rigging.

I have got certificated training with: "Professional Laser Display Safety Training", "Pyrotechnics
Safety Awareness".
